Travel Document: is a document issued exclusively to Honduran citizens who are abroad without a passport. It is requested by immigration authorities or by the Honduran citizen themselves, whose passport has expired when they must travel to Honduras due to an emergency and/or duly proven special circumstances.
It is valid solely for entry into Honduras and expires thirty days from the date of issuance.
 
Note: THE *TRAVEL DOCUMENT* CANNOT BE USED TO RE ENTER TO CANADA OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY.
 
Requirements:
1. Complete the *Salvoconducto* application form (sign and provide a fingerprint). Please read the instructions carefully and ensure the form is filled out legibly, without erasures, and that all requested information is provided.
2. Present an original identity card or birth certificate (if you do not possess any identity document, you must undergo an interview in person or by telephone with the consular agent to verify your nationality).
3. Two passport-sized photographs (2” x 2”).
4. Bank draft or money order payable to the Consulate of Honduras in the amount of $10.00 USD (except for those requested by the CBSA, which are issued free of charge).
5. For a Travel Document requested through Canadian immigration offices, a pre-paid certified mail envelope must also be submitted, addressed to the immigration officer responsible for receiving the document for the fingerprinting process.
6. You must present a travel itinerary and provide the name and contact person of the non-profit organization that will act as a witness for the fingerprinting and signing process.
 
Note: If you have never obtained an identity card in Honduras or do not hold a valid passport, you must present a sworn declaration from your parents or, failing that, from a relative within the second to fourth degree of consanguinity issued by a notary in Honduras or by a consular office. The sworn statement must bear a photograph of the applicant, and the document must state that the image corresponds to the citizen requesting the safe-conduct pass.
